Come and join us in the audience for a high energy and fun evening with a group of talented young musicians.Yorky Pud Street Band is a Yorkshire-based "brash" band playing jazzed-up, funked-up covers of everything from Chopins Funeral March" to "Seven Nation Army" and "Bad Guy", incorporating a selection of upbeat originals, with The Canap EP released through LaunchPad+ this year.Take a heaping of jazz, a dash of oom-pah, stir up some mash-ups, and give it a New York subway busking flair.
This is the recipe for Yorky Pud Street Band, the graviest band around.
While there is the occasional single-serving individual song, we present our gigs in "mini-sets", with us not stopping playing for an average of fifteen minutes.
We play hit after hit after hit, overlapping, calling back, and keeping the party going for as long as our lungs hold out; up to a full forty-five minutes of non-stop music!Major gigs include playing for Hallowe'en and Christmas events at This Green Moon (Swillington) and supporting Burlesque with The Scarlet Sirens at Connexins Live Arena (Hull).
We regularly busk, and have played our own events within pubs and clubs around the north, as well as various festivals and ftes.
