This is a disabled-led networking, discussion and performance forum developed around the festival theme, ‘Arts and Activism’. This discussion will focus on the importance of using art to challenge the status quo and promote social change.
The symposium is chaired by artist and activist Emma Campbell (Belfast). It will feature a keynote speech by Jenny Sealey, CEO of Graeae Theatre Company (London), and contributions from:
Brigid O'Dea (Dublin): writer and Gaeilgeoir, sharing works and writings on disability
Alan Burns (Dublin): exploring autism and his practice in climate arts activism
Kirin Saeed (Visually Impaired Creators Scotland): Allies in Activism: perspectives from an Asian, visually impaired theatre maker
