Are you frozen with indecision when it comes to choosing colour combinations for a project? Does vivid pink go with navy blue? Is that teal too green or too blue to go with that orange? Do you want some guidance about the colours at that moment? If so, then you may want to come and playfully learn how to be at ease with colour for a few hours! In this workshop we will look at colour in a gentle, fun way.
There will be no hard and fast rules.
This is your opportunity to have a guided think about how you can gather inspiration from the world around you and transfer those colour combinations to your fibre crafts. It is an opportunity to learn a new skill simple weaving.
To try out colour combinations we will weave a choice of those colours in a small woven piece of fabric, like a fabric bookmark, on a tiny loom, which will be yours to take away with you at the end of the class.
You can play with combinations, colour proportions, and just have some fun with colour. No weaving experience is needed. All the tools and yarn will be provided but please do bring along a pair of sharp scissorsHelen LockhartHelen, of Ripples Crafts Hand Dyed Yarn, has been knitting since a young girl, and loves learning and exploring new knitting techniques.
