Afternoon Tea Dance June

Join us for a wonderful afternoon of dancing, tea and biscuits!A Tea Dance is an afternoon social dance with tea and cake.

It evolved from the concept of afternoon tea in the 1880’s and became hugely fashionable in the early 20th century.

They’ve enjoyed something of a renaissance in recent years, both with older generations who remember them from first time round and young vintage enthusiasts.Don’t be afraid to ask someone for a dance, and don’t be surprised if someone asks you!Our Afternoon Tea Dances are brought to you by Richard Evans, a National Association Teachers of Dancing NATD associate member.”I started dancing at the age of 21 after seeing an ad in the Tamworth Herald for a local beginners' ballroom class.

Since then I have earned professional qualifications in Classical Sequence, Ballroom and Latin American.
