Ireland’s greatest soulful jazz and blues singer performing live in concert at The Mac.Believe it or not, its 25 years since Ken Haddock released his debut album ‘The Sweetest Hour’.Co-produced by Jules Maxwell and Ken the album was recorded by the legendary Mudd Wallace in Homestead Studios.

It comprised of eight of Ken’s original and co-written songs plus one outstanding cover of the Bruce Cockburn classic ‘Southland of the Heart’.Some of the originals like ‘Diamond Girl’, ‘Who am I to Blame?’ and the title track ‘The Sweetest Hour’ occasionally turn up in Ken’s live set, usually when they have been requested by his avid followers. In December 2024 Ken hosted his last ever Sunday Supper Club in Belfast’s Empire after a residency of over 30 years during which time himself and his band delivered their weekly take on material by Van Morrison, Prince, Tom Waits, Bruce Cockburn, John Martyn, James Taylor and others of that ilk.On this special evening in The Mac, Ken and his band will revisit many of those classic songs in the first half of the show. The second half of the evening will be largely devoted to a performance of ‘The Sweetest Hour’ album in its entirety.Early booking advised!
