Dilys Bidewell: Summer Drawing Class 8

You may enrol in as many classes as you wish.

The course is limited to 10 people per session; the core focus of the class is on drawing studies from observation.

However, you are welcome to extend this into painting, should you wish.

The class is more suited to those with some experience, beyond the beginner's level, in drawing or painting.

Easels will be provided - along with some basic materials, though we suggest you bring a choice of your own.

More detailed information regarding the day will be sent beforehand.The tutor, Dilys Bidewell, is an artist and experienced teacher, with a degree in Architecture and an MA in Fine Art, who was a visiting lecturer on both under- and post-graduate Fine Art courses for many years.The costs include tea and coffee on arrival and throughout the day.

Please bring your own lunch.

Afternoon tea with home-made cake is provided at the end of the day.Discussions and refreshment breaks will be on the Ground Floor of the Mansion.

Students may practice their skills in various locations, including the First Floor and Cellars of the Mansion, the Gardens and the Walled Garden.Access to the Cellars and First Floor of the Mansion are currently via staircase only.

The Ground Floor of the Mansion is suitable for wheelchair access.

The Gardens are undulating/uneven lawn surfaces with some paths on a sloping site.

The Walled Garden is also on a sloping site.

There is very limited access currently for wheelchair users in the Gardens.
