In a small German town after WWI, Anna (Beer) mourns her fiancé Frantz who was killed, when she meets Frenchman Adrien (Niney), who claims to have been his friend. Touching, mournful and beautifully crafted tale, with a fine performance from Beer as just one of the many impressive elements.
