Dylan Jay presents: Return of the Boom BapFollowing the success of his first event, it was only right that he came back for another. “Return of the Boom Bap” is essentially a flashback to the golden era of hip hop, as well as the soulful and funky roots that bred it.Now for those of you that don’t know, boom bap was born n raised in New York and became a prominent sound amongst hip hop producers of that era which ran from the late 80s till early 90s.

Boom bap has a distinct sound built on a foundation of punchy n grimy drums, then layered with all sorts of sampling wizardry.

Key names include: Marley Marl, Eric B. & Rakim, KRS-One, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Gang Starr, Wu Tang, Nas, Mobb Deep, Biggie.
