Late Night Openings

Experience one of Lancashire’s greatest natural spectacles as up to 30,000 geese come into roost in the evening at WWT Martin Mere.Returning from their long day of grazing, skeins of geese will fly across the sky in a honking flurry and settle down on our mere for the night.

To witness this, we’re opening our Discovery Hide and nature trail until 7pm to give you the opportunity to see them settling down with a beautiful autumn sunset.There will be free access to this event from 5:30pm to encourage everyone to experience this unmissable moment.
