Full day event
Enhance your practice with this practical, refreshed training session designed to support early development in learners with ALN.
This reviewed course is an updated version of our previous popular course "Activities for Autistic Learners / Learners with Social Communication Differences Working at Pre-Progression Step". It is suitable for both new participants and those returning to strengthen their practice. New participants should attend for the full day for a comprehensive overview, whilst those that have completed the course before are welcome to join the afternoon workshop.
The full-day session explores how to better understand and support learners with ALN who are accessing activities that support early development e.g., those that are working within the Routes for learning framework or ABC steps (pre-progression step). It focuses on recognising individual strengths, identifying next steps, and applying practical, evidence-informed strategies and activities to support meaningful progress. You will also be signposted to further resources and professional learning opportunities to support your ongoing development.
The afternoon workshop is hands-on and collaborative, giving you the opportunity to practise strategies, plan purposeful activities and reflect on approaches that best suit your setting. You will work alongside colleagues to share ideas, explore adaptations for your own context and build confidence in applying new approaches. You will leave with a range of adaptable, classroom-ready activities, a clearer understanding of how to tailor strategies to meet learners' needs, and practical next steps to support implementation.Arsylwi, cysylltu, chwarae: Gweithgareddau i gefnogi datblygiad cynnar dysgwyr ag ADY (Cwrs dydd llawn; Hyfforddiant a gweithdy)
