THE STANDING STONES Q&A, film screening and signing hosted by Matthew Shaw (Stone Club)Join The Standing Stones' Jem Finer (from The Pogues) and Jimmy Cauty (formerly of The KLF) for the release of their second record Twa Sisters featuring Iona Zajac and Daragh Lynch: a hyper-quantised dystopio-folk-horror soundscape, blurring the temporal zones of the folk songs’ ancient origins with the near future.Hosted by The Stone Club’s Matthew Shaw, they will show some short films then discuss the standing of The Hurdy & Gurdy Stones and their newly developed LunaTronix sound encoder: an experimental, psycho-cosmological transducer encoding system using lunar cycles and the movement of celestial bodies to complete a circuit in stone.The band will sign records after the discussion.Rough Trade East is very excited to present an in conversation and signing from Jem Finer & Jimmy Cauty.
