A Midsummer Night’s Dream By William Shakespeare Directed by Amy Tickner “I have had a most rare vision. I have had a dream”

Following the success of A Christmas Carol in Boston Manor House last year, The Arts Centre, Hounslow are excited to present William Shakespeare’s most loved comedy, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in the inaugural Walled Garden Shakespeare Season.

Join us for Shakespeare’s notorious story of the tangled love between four lovers on the eve of a Royal Wedding. Hermia is in love with Lysander, and Lysander is in love with Hermia - but Demetrius is also in love with Hermia, and Helena is in love with Demetrius!

Meanwhile, a group of Athenians are rehearsing a play in the depths of the wood, where the fairy King Oberon is angry at his queen, Titania. To seek revenge, Oberon sends his merry servant to wreak havoc with his queen, and chaos erupts as the two opposite worlds collide. As the night draws on, love at first sight proves to be a reality for some but makes a complete ass out of others.

The Arts Centre, Hounslow is committed to creating exciting, fast-paced theatre and have a great reputation for their outstanding annual pantomimes.
