Inspired by the recent acquisition of a folio of 1893 photographic prints of the Muirton of Ardblair area, A Lost Community: Muirton of Ardblair is a new photography exhibition that remembers the history of a former Perthshire village that passed into history 50 years ago this year. These images will be at the heart of the exhibition, highlighting a lost community in rural Perthshire and the homes and lives of those who inhabited this lost village.

In addition to the original photographic prints and reproductions, the exhibition will also display paintings made at Muirton of Ardblair by Ewan Geddes, one of the key artists in the group known as the Blairgowrie Boys. There will also be objects from the collection reflecting the community’s homes and everyday working life.
