Uist Unearthed Multimedia Exhibition

The exhibition is the culmination of work completed for Uist Unearthed, which brings to light Uist’s world-class archaeology in an augmented reality app. Cladh Hallan, a Bronze Age settlement in South Uist, was the first AR site to launch on the app last year.

Visitors can download the app, scan a QR code at the site, and step inside 3500 year-old roundhouses – exploring the archaeological finds, uncovering facts, and unearthing mysteries. The app will be updated with four more sites in Summer 2022. The new multi-media exhibition celebrates five amazing sites across Uist. Step into ancient houses with our Virtual Reality experiences, or explore games, 3D printed artefacts, and digital interactives.
