A two-day blacksmithing course designed to give participants the skills, experience and confidence to work independently on a forge.

The first day of the course will focus on tending a forge and learning about the different elements of a blacksmithing workshop. This includes the tools and equipment commonly used. You will work through a series of exercises with support from our expert technician to become confident in the vocabulary and skill of basic blacksmithing techniques.

Building on this learning on the second day, you will be supported to apply your new skills and knowledge to work on your own piece. Selected from a range of possible projects you will be able to be creative with your new skills.

Our courses are open to all levels of ability and experience - beginners are very welcome as well as those who want to build on existing skills or try something new. If you have any suggestions, questions or requirements relating to accessibility, please get in touch and we will make every effort to support you to visit.
