Details

A 90/120-minute (approx. 1.5 miles) walking tour around Thetford showing the locations used during the filming of Dads Army. These include the Polish Club, Percy Street and the Town Hall. This tour also includes the Captain Mainwaring Statue and Joness Van (subject to availability). A guide will tell you the stories of the locations and other Dads Army tales. The tour starts at 10:30 am from the Charles Burrell Museum (open from 10am and home to the Joness van) and finishes at the Dad`s Army Museum (5 minutes direct walk from the Charles Burrell museum) with tea/coffee and biscuits and a viewing of the museum. Cost is £12.50 per person to include refreshments, trail leaflet and badge.

Children aged 12 and under go free, but you must advise the number of children.

There may be tours when Jones`s Van is not available, you may rebook if you wish.

If you you can not make a tour refunds will be given if more that 7 days notice given, you may rebook onto another tour. You may purchase Ticket Source ticket insurance.

The route is ok for wheelchairs.

Well behaved dogs are welcome and are welcome in the museum but not in the tearooms, we will set up a table for you outside the tearooms.
