This engaging show is a mixture of comedy storytelling and poetry, segueing smoothly between the two. Whilst some of the poems are comic, most pack an emotional punch. This show typifies a fundamentally Irish sensibility, juxtaposing the harrowing and the hilarious to great effect.

Owen O’Neill is an award winning writer and performer who has published three books of poetry, directed and written plays for the stage and screen. His short film The Basketcase won best short at the Boston and Chicago film festivals. In 2015, he adapted The Shawshank Redemption for the stage, which toured across Britain, Australia and North America.
