The Mystery Of Edwin Drood By Rupert Holmes - By Gallery Players

Details

This wildly warm-hearted theatrical experience kicks off when the Music Hall Royale (a hilariously loony Victorian musical troupe) stages its flamboyant rendition of an unfinished Dickens mystery The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

The story itself deals with John Jasper, a Jekyll-and-Hyde Choirmaster who is quite madly in love with his music student, the fair Miss Rosa Bud. Now, Miss Bud is, in turn, engaged to Jasper's nephew, young Edwin Drood. Our title character disappears mysteriously one stormy Christmas Eve, but has Edwin Drood been murdered? There are many possible suspects and YOU get to decide whodunnit!

Directed and choreographed by Wade Ablitt with Musical Direction by Olly Wood and featuring a terrific cast of Suffolk's best and brightest, The Mystery of Edwin Drood is certain to be one of the wackiest nights of theatre that you will have in a long time! 'Dickens' meets 'The Play That Goes Wrong' meets 'The Good Old Days' in this tale of Music Hall, mayhem and MURDER (with a different ending every night!)

Gallery Players are thrilled to be presenting their first full show at their new home 'The Gallery Studio Theatre' (formally the New Wolsey Studio) in their 36th year! Please come and help us celebrate! (For your comfort and reassurance an empty seat will automatically be added each side of your booking. Our Auditorium has a filtered ventilation system that will be on before, during and after each show. We trust that these measures along with following the latest government guidelines and advice will make your theatre visit with us comfortable and safe.)
