Details

Gritty urban comedy drama with a rich vein of the supernatural. A park bench. A homeless man, two burglars, a medium, a fake medium, two war veterans, a widow, a drug dealer, a real medium, a loan shark, Mr Wolf and Little Rabbit, a burn scarred street thief, a street sweeper, an angel and a ghost. One of them will be murdered here. Six actors play sixteen unforgettable characters. The story addresses serious issues throughout, it’s a very moving play — plenty of laughs though interlaced with the drama. Part of O’Byrne’s critically acclaimed and audience loved Tales from Paradise Heights series of plays set on a fictional northern estate. Mean and moody streets share terrible secrets, along with comedy, tragedy, heart, soul and humanity. But there’s something else… There’s a creeping darkness nibbling at the edges, a place where the urban meets the supernatural, it’s Stephen King meets Jimmy McGovern. Age: 16 + billed as ADULTS ONLY, mature language and content. Running Time: 2 x 1 hour acts with a 20 minute interval.
