Tenement Jazz Band, Simmerdim, and DJ Paulo - Make Music Day 2024

Come join us in celebrating Make Music Day 2024 and enjoy an afternoon of fantastic music on the Mezzanine. Central Library is delighted to welcome three brilliant performers to share in the joy of music:

2pm - DJ Paulo Paulo is a Portuguese DJ based in Edinburgh and a versatile explorer of world music - he fills the air with beats that will get your feet tapping.

3pm - Simmerdim Simmerdim is an Edinburgh-based a cappella trio; named after the long summer twilight in the far north of Scotland, when the sun briefly dips below the horizon and it is never truly dark. Simmerdim sing mostly original arrangements of an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary songs, and have performed at festivals, cafes, book launches, and house concerts.

3.45pm - Tenement Jazz Band Made up of members of the Edinburgh jazz scene, Tenement Jazz Band are a traditional jazz band who are united in a love of music from New Orleans and the desire to bring excitement to their performances. Tenement Jazz Band have performed in jazz festivals across Scotland, as well as putting on a hit show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
