Details

Originally from Estonia, vocalist Susanna Aleksandra studied in Finland, won a scholarship to USC Thornton School of Music in Calfornia, speaks 6 languages and includes Festival and Club appearances in Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, Turkey, Czech Republic and the UK. An impressive and versatile singer, her captivating vocal style, impeccable time, warm tone and delivery have made her a leading jazz vocalist on the European scene. As well as a terrific singer she is also a talented songwriter and lyricist with her two most recent albums, "Miracles" and "The Siren" received significant critical acclaim, with the latter being chosen as one of the best albums of 2021 by Jazzwise magazine.

Tonight Susanna will be bringing her show “Tribute to Sarah Vaughan” to the Club with her Special Guest Quentin Collins, one of the UK’s most accomplished and fluent jazz trumpet players. Quentin includes the likes of Jeff Beck, Jason Rebello, Basement Jaxx, Omar, Prince and Roy Ayres on an impressive cv, but these days is probably best known for his work with the internationally acclaimed Kyle Eastwood Band. Susanna and Quentin will reimagine “Sassy’s” timeless classics alongside a hand-picked trio of some of the best musicians in the UK. High class, swinging music.
