Join North-East based jeweller Anne Marquiss, to design and make an elegant pair of earrings in silver and semiprecious stones. Learn to work with jewellery saws, files, pliers and hammers, to cut and form silver tubing and wire to create your own earrings. Choose from a wide selection of semi-precious stones, such as agate, jasper, jade, onyx and freshwater pearls to individualise your design. No prior skills are required, just some imagination to create your own statement jewellery. Anne Marquiss is a jeweller and tutor working in Aberdeenshire, from her bothy workshop. She designs and makes silver, statement jewellery, creating elegant forms that are individual and easy to wear. Her work is influenced by contemporary architecture and Scandinavian Design, using etching and oxidisation to develop spontaneous surface decoration.
This workshop is part of FOLD’s new Monthly Craft Series. In February, we are highlighting Jewellery & Silversmithing through a variety of activities. Follow FOLD on Facebook and Instagram for more information.
