Award-winning clarinettist Sharon Kam and pianist Enrico Pace explore riveting music from the clarinet's history.
Award-winning Israeli-German clarinettist Sharon Kam has demonstrated her breath-taking versatility and prowess as both an international concerto soloist and a chamber musician, as well as in numerous acclaimed recordings.
She makes her International Festival debut in a wide-ranging recital with Italian pianist Enrico Pace, a regular chamber collaborator. Their music embraces the history and remarkable expressive abilities of the clarinet – from the deeply Romantic melodies of Danish composer Niels Gade’s Fantasy Pieces and the simple beauty of Schumann’s song-like Romances, to the jazz-tinged mischief of Jean Françaix’s witty Theme and Variations and the sunny, smiling Sonatine by Joseph Horovitz.
