Sad Boys Club

A quintet from Crouch End, Sad Boys Club draw on an amalgamation of influences to craft an emotive, inherently ambitious indie-pop sound, reminiscent of The Cure, The War on Drugs and The National, glossed with 1975-esque nostalgia.

Existing in various formations since their pre-teen days, the five-piece spent their formative years honing their craft in Bombay Bicycle Club’s shed, experimenting with their hand-me-down equipment. They wrote their debut single when they were 15, however they held off the release until years later, when Sad Boys Club became their final form.

Each member has a different musical background, with everything from indie to emo, but they started out covering songs from bands such as Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand and The Strokes, and consider those as their main inspirations.
