Rising Stars of Brass

Brass players on the cusp of their careers perform with their musical role models on stage. This edition of our Rising Stars concerts will focus on brass players on the cusp of their careers, nurtured and inspired by role models from their chosen field.

Scouted via an open call-out for the world’s best-emerging talent in classical music, an outstanding ensemble of musicians specialising in brass join their mentors, Chris Hart and Aaron Akugbo, on stage. These rising stars have taken part in an emboldening mentorship programme, where they become part of a mutually supportive environment alongside their peers and professional musicians before they make their International Festival debut.
