The Middle East meets R&B! Experience live Turkish R&B music on a summer evening on the terrace of the Ivy House in Coventry. Eyeden (pronounced i-den) is pioneering a new genre of music ‘Turkish R&B’ with his own original songs that are bound to get you dancing and singing along, even if you dont know the lyrics! Eyeden's grandparents first came to the UK in 1950, when his late Grandad travelled from Cyprus in pursuit of a better life. 70 years later Eyeden's family are still located in the U.K and are proud British Turks. Over the last 2 years, the pandemic has been a chance for Eyeden to really deep dive into his self-identity, his culture and his family roots. This new genre of music is a culmination of those 2 realms, and you hear that in his music; from heartfelt love songs like ‘Heartbreak in '98’ to fun-loving upbeat vibes ‘Gel Bana’, the ‘Young Turk’ really has been making a name for himself in the last couple years with Gel Bana totting up over 6000 plays and listens online and even get a BBC Radio play! What to expect on the night:- A full 60-minute set with all original music performed with easy sing-along songs, to heartfelt real-life storytelling records.
