Michael sites a great variety of influences including folk heavyweights Rufus Wainwright and John Martyn, along with the Traditional-Scottish music he was raised on. Michael has toured extensively including support slots with Ben Howard, John Grant, Martha Wainwright, Nathaniel Rateliff and Amy MacDonald. Michael was awarded the Gerry Rafferty song writing prize in for his track ‘The Men Who Stood Beside Me In The War’. Touring this summer in support of a brand new Album 'Wandering As Water' which combines his familiar alt-folk sound alongside newer rich and honest writing. Michael's much loved live show promises to be one not to miss.
