Sarah Howells | Write to Remember

For the last two years we’ve used the world-wide web to connect us across a world shut down by the pandemic, yet social media frequently highlights angry differences and fractured society, with virtual connections broken by distance and unstable internet. With this all behind us now, it’s time to re-connect in person with this interactive reminiscence workshop. Using a prompt object to elicit a memory from the first person, the next will pick up on an aspect of that story to connect to theirs and so on. Physical connections with string will illustrate this visually, so by the end of the workshop we will have created an actual web, a single thread connecting us all. This workshop fosters a sense of community and connectedness, validates personal narrative and offers well-being nourishment after a long period of disconnection.

If you hold a full festival pass, you may attend this workshop without additional charge, but you YOU MUST book a ticket as places are extremely limited.
