Junction 2 finally returns to London for the first time since 2019 in one of the most anticipated events of 2022. Taking place across the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th June 2022, many of the industry’s most sought-after figures and rising stars will perform across numerous bespoke stages. An event that has always put community at the core, Junction 2 has embraced innovation, new technologies and creative thinking to explore the relationship between music, the surrounding environment and the way we engage with the culture we so proudly represent. For the 2022 edition, the focus is on rebirth and growth, as Junction 2 finally delivers its first festival in 3 years. Despite being unable to host this festival in its traditional format for the past two summers, we have used the time to expand the project in new directions. 2020 saw the spirit of Boston Manor Park brought to life with J2v, the UK’s first large-scale underground virtual festival and in January 2021 we pushed the digital technology to its edges with Junction 2: Connections - bringing together 3 iconic musical cities (Detroit, Berlin and London) under one virtual roof. An unforgettable 48-hour Inner City takeover of Tobacco Dock and fabric ensued on August Bank Holiday weekend but for now, we return to our traditional weekend. A DJ with a global reputation, Four Tet will also be joining the lineup. Known for his mesmerising sets that shimmer in the spaces between garage, tuff house and the outer reaches of experimental techno, we’re excited to hear what he’s got in store for us. Kiwi brothers Chaos in the CBD will bring their blissful take on house and modern broken beat, whilst the chameleonic DJ and producer Midland will also make his appearance with his mercurial flow. After her extraordinary performance recently at Village Underground, we welcome our weekend resident, Avalon Emerson. She will be joined by techno queen Nina Kraviz, who will be unleashing the raw power of her techno selections. An extended, exclusive set from the Hessle Audio Trio is going to be perfect for a night of outer limits tech-psychedelia. Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound will also be joined by the likes of Effy, Tasha, Jossy Mitsu, Carlota and Anz, as well as Bambounou, Cromby, Esa, Tasker, Saoirse and Jordan Nocturne. The Ninja Tunes artist, DJ and producer Leon Vynehall is also joining the list and is set to bring his masterfully crafted house music. Eris Drew will add her infectious, ecstatic energy to the occasion in a B2B with Octo Octa. Elsewhere there’ll be live performances from Rival Consoles and Aurora Halal, electro legend DMX Krew and Fatima Yamaha, while DJ sets from Eclair Fifi, Peach, Yu Su, Ceri, Willow, Zozo and B2Bs by Roza Terenzi and D. Tiffany as well as Skee Mask and Zenker Brother will round off the first day.
