Joining James Yorkston at the Byre are [wait for it]… Gruff Rhys, Salena Godden and Brìghde Chaimbeul. Join us for a club night hosted and programmed by one of Fife’s finest, James Yorkston. Now, with live music back again at last, Tae Sup wi’ A Fifer returns with its unique mix of folk, rock, indie and spoken word from some of the most interesting artists in Scotland today, all hosted by James.

Gruff Rhys Gruff is a Welsh musician, composer, producer, filmmaker and author. His new solo album Seeking New Gods sees the Super Furry Animal mythologise his a compelling sonic mountain of his own making.

Salena Godden Salena Godden is one of Britain’s best loved poets and performers. She is also an activist, broadcaster, memoirist and essayist and is widely anthologised. She has published several volumes of poetry, the latest of which was Pessimism is for Lightweights,and a literary childhood memoir, Springfield Road.

Brìghde Chaimbeul Winner of the 2019 BBC Radio 2 Horizon Award, Brìghde Chaimbeul is making a mark on the global stage. A native Gaelic speaker, her style is rooted in her language and culture, but draws inspiration from a variety of global piping traditions such as from Eastern Europe, Cape Breton and Ireland.
