Herbal Healing: Self and Community Care

Details

Herbalism should be something we all have access to. However in today's society, self care is a privilege and many ‘self care guides’ or methods come with a hefty price tag. Our self care session will aim to make self care more inclusive by showing a variety of free/ low cost ways of treating yourself. We will also look at the making of solidarity medicine in the United Kingdom, with a close look at how the process of herbal remedy is interlinked with the idea of making things with others and ideas of self and collective care. During the self care session, you will have the opportunity to learn how to make relaxing foot bath salts and calendula body butter. The session will include an in depth step by step guide so you are able to recreate this experience at home. Every participant of the session will leave with a set of exciting self care products for themselves and a loved one.
