Jane is having an affair with Gabriel Dante Rosetti, William’s business partner and “The Firm” set up by Morris in 1861 is struggling to fend off rival designers.In 1917 William’s and Jane’s daughter May is living in Kelmscott Manor, William’s country retreat, with a feisty Cornishwoman, Mary Lobb. May tries to keep her father’s legacy alive whilst living a harmonious life with Mary.In post-Industrial Revolution England the ideals of father and daughter are tested.
