UTB Manchester presents... Guise!

With their new album 'Youngest Daughter' set for release this April (via Xtra Mile Recordings) we're excited to welcome Jess and Laura from Guise to Manchester for an intimate headline show.

Guise's last visit to Manchester came supporting Frank Turner at the O2 Apollo and this show comes in the midst of a tour with Will Varley.

Definitely not one to miss if you're a fan of glorious folk harmonies.

Close harmony, confessional folk-pop group GUISE is the voice and heart of front-woman Jessica Guise, who has been writing and playing songs live since her teens.

Possessed of a remarkable folk lilt and with influences coming from Dar Williams, Joni Mitchell, and Stevie Nicks, she sings with delicacy whilst imparting vicious asides - by turns sweet and haunting.

Together with co-vocalist and long-term bandmate Laura Hanna, close harmonies and keys bring the songs to bloom. After the success of the 'The Fun Part EP' in 2020, Guise will be releasing their first studio album 'Youngest Daughter' on Xtra Mile at the end of April. Produced by Frank Turner, the album is a story-so-far journey through Jess writing and the band's history.
