Join us for Howdenshire Music's third lunchtime concert of 2023 featuring an exceptional cello/piano duo.

Programme Frank Bridge - Spring Song Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - Valse Sentimentale Johannes Brahms - Cello Sonata No. 1 in E minor, Op. 38 Michio Mamiya - Five Finnish Folk Songs (selection) - Nos. 3, 4 & 5 Enrique Granados - Andaluza Tomás Buxó - Allegro Appasionato

Cellist Laura Peribáñez Artero is quickly gaining recognition as one of the most exciting and versatile Spanish musicians of her generation. She has performed for Decca, ECM Records and Classic FM and at the Palace of Nations in Geneva. Laura is joined by pianist Kanako Mizuno, winner of the Tokyo Piano Competition and graduate of the Royal Academy of Music. Laura and Kanako's programme includes fiery, folk-infused Spanish pieces by Granados and Buxó, as well as Brahms' glorious first Cello Sonata.
