Details

Set between 1934 and 1952, this rock opera, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, sees Eva, a poor but ambitious young actress, work her way through the murderous politics of Buenos Aires, until she becomes Argentina's first lady through her marriage to dictator General Juan Peron. EVITA follows her life, rise to power, her charity work and ultimately her death and elevation to near sainthood by her followers.

EVITA sees the Bradford Catholic Players, one of Bradford's premier musical theatre companies, making its debut at Yeadon Town Hall.
