Emma Abbate, piano and Tippett String Quartet

Emma Abbate, who has played in all the main London venues, as well as in many international festivals, is in great demand as a chamber music player and song recital accompanist.

Of the Tippett Quartet, the Times said that their “performances are little short of astonishing”. Together with Emma Abbate they have recorded all Stephen Dodgson’s piano quintets. The concert will open with the first of Mendelssohn’s string quartets, and Schumann’s vibrant piano quintet will conclude the evening’s music-making. Programme:
