Come and be an Easter Eggsplorer at Castle Ward!

Embrace your inner explorer when you discover the world at Castle Ward this spring.

Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Explore the estate just as the Ward’s did as you discover some of the exotic plants, animals, foods, and collections from all around the world we have here on the estate. Discover and finish the ten nature-inspired activities that are hidden along the journey; run like a squirrel, feed Bertha the bear and learn how to make your own Easter eggs in our sensory-rich Chocolate Forest barn.

Once you have explored the trail and picked up your chocolate egg, head into the theatre for Easter crafts, fancy dress, food stalls, live music and storytelling sessions from 'Eithne the Adventurer' and the Easter Bunny. (Note: Our Crafts and storytelling are only on from Saturday 8 – Tuesday 11 April, see event page for details).

You will also be able to travel in style by taking a horse and carriage rides around the estate grounds. (Please note: Carriage rides are only running from 7-10 April from 12noon-3pm and run at an additional cost).

The trail takes place between 1 - 17 April 2023, from 10am to 4pm, with last entry at 4pm, so come along and explore the beautiful trails and gardens of Castle Ward.

The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil, bunny ears and a chocolate egg at the end.
