Dereham Blues Festival 2023 Opening Concert

Danielle Nicole is an internationally acclaimed singer / bassist from Kansas City, Missouri, touring Europe’s Summer Festival scene with her band. She was awarded the accolade of 2022 Bass Player of the Year Blues Blast Award, and Top Bassist in the 2022 Blues Music Awards (this for the 4th time) , and has a host of North American Contemporary Blues Artist and Grammy nominations to her name. Her records notably “Wolf Den” and “Cry No More” have topped the Billboard Music Charts.

Danielle’s distinctive, inventive bass work is complemented by her uniquely powerful and sensitive blues voice, which will appeal strongly to European audiences.

Dereham Blues Festival is delighted that Danielle has agreed to follow what has become a happy and successful stream of wonderful American musicians to the Festival Stage, and we are sure that the 2023 Opening Concert will sit brilliantly alongside the unforgettable shows of Mud Morganfield and Hamilton Loomis.

Support comes from Ross Stewart a Scottish – born guitarist and vocalist backed by The Shunters, who is currently attracting a lot of attention in blues music circles and who is tipped for great things.
