Cruel Birds

The Cruel Birds are a soul four-piece inspired by the Memphis, Chicago and New Orleans soul artists of the 60's and early 70's and the studio bands of Stax, Chess and Fame Records.

Featuring Susanna Steer on vocals with David Shortall on guitar, Pieter May on bass and Mike Cruickshank on drums. Expect more than a few lost soul gems, with a sprinkling of classic hits; from heart-wrenching ballads to stripped-down funky soul.
