Burford Jazz presents Greg Abate Quartet

Outstanding USA based saxophonist on tourGreg Abate is a ‘stonkingly' fine jazz saxophonist, flautist and composer who tours the globe for at least 200 days of every year! We’re delighted he’s been able to include Burford Jazz on his next visit to the UK. His pedigree is gold plated - educated at Berklee College, Greg played lead alto sax for two years with The Ray Charles band - not a tribute, the real deal and Ray, they say, always chose wisely. Greg’s solo career has seen him perform all over the USA and throughout the world on some of the most prestigious stages. We welcome Greg who will perform for us with a crack rhythm section of Tom Berge, Paul Jefferies and Charlie Stratford.
