Anna Jessopp, the first female Chief Executive of The Royal Mint in 1,100 years, since it was distinguished is delivering a lecture for the Bristol Distinguished Address Series, titled 'Reinventing The Royal Mint'.

The way people spend is changing, and so is The Royal Mint. Anne Jessopp, CEO of The Royal Mint, will explore how Britain's oldest company forged an exciting future rooted in its heritage. Over the last three years this 1,100 year old business has successfully expanded into new markets and attracted new customers whilst retaining a focus on precious metals, design and craftsmanship. Once famous for making UK coins, it is now on a journey to become famous as The Original Maker.

Event Entry and Live Stream Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis for those that have registered. Not everyone who has registered will turn up, so to ensure we have a full house, we allow more registrations than there are places. Please ensure you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the lecture to avoid disappointment. If you arrive late and the lecture theatre is full, you may be able to watch the talk from the live streaming room.

Biography Anne was appointed Chief Executive of The Royal Mint in February 2018 - becoming the first woman in the organisation's 1,100 year history to hold the post.

Anne has significant experience in leading cultural change, manufacturing and growing new business gained at some of the UK's biggest firms including Procter and Gamble, RAC and Rolls Royce.

Since joining The Royal Mint in 2008 Anne has held several positions on the Board, including HR Director and Director of Consumer, and has been a spearhead for the reinvention of the business.

Under Anne's leadership The Royal Mint has remained the world's leading export mint, whilst successfully diversifying into investment products, collector services and a visitor attraction.

A particular passion during her career has been working with companies who are developing their culture and undergoing significant change. As a result, The Royal Mint is now firmly delivering its strategy of reinvention, whilst retaining its unique heritage as The Original Maker of meaningful products and services.
