About

We invite you to join us for the ‘Macro Jam’ an improvisation event open to the larger artistic community.

We invite you to join us for the ‘Macro Jam’ an improvisation event open to the larger artistic community. Calling all musicians, dancers, spoken word and visual artists to come and listen, respond, create and play together. This will be a space of collaboration outside of normal silos. An equal space for all voices, instruments, bodies and artists in improvisation. We will meet, warm up and experiment with some gentle improvisational exercises for an hour. Then we will open the doors to the public to witness our Macro Jam of small to large groups with simple agreed upon structures. Regardless of your background and whatever your experience you will have something to give that will support the creation of this unique improvisation.‘Improvisation means coming to the situation without rigid expectations or preconceptions. The key to improvisation is motion — you keep going forward, fearful or not, living from moment to moment. That’s how life is.’ Bobbi McFerren.Audience members are also welcome to attend at 3:30pm, and can select a "Standard" ticket.Workshop Session
