InfoBury Pride takes place on Saturday the 30th May 2026.The Walking Rainbow was first started by the youth group Proud of Gayness (POG) and Bury youth Cabinet supported by the LGBT Foundation, Bury GMP and Bury Council in 2013. The youth groups, supported by Children’s services, brought together the Council, GMP and other local partners to stand against discrimination and to celebrate diversity. The Walking Rainbow Parade was the first in the country to have all faith leaders speak against hate crime and discrimination and was a great success.Theme

A route through Bury, led by The Mayor, starts at 12:15. This will attract a large amount of interest from people within the town centre and shopping areas, as well as those attending the main event. It is carnival themed this year and will be a celebration of diversity and equality within the borough of Bury with the use of colour, music, a samba band and floats. The route will be through the Town Centre, up to the Rock and then back down past Millgate, into the Market and then return to the Drill Hall.Festival
