Reference: [yoursurname] + [eventname]Tudor House is an independent museum in the heart of the city on the very pretty Friar Street. The house is a timber framed building built in the 16th century for weavers and clothiers whose weaving workshops created the woollen broadcloth making many in the city wealthy in the Medieval and Tudor period. It has also housed the Cross Keys tavern, been an ARP wardens office and billeting office during the 1940s and was a childrens clinic for 50 years during the 20th century. The beautiful Tudor embossed ceiling in the bedchamber is the houses star architectural feature!
