We know it isn’t always easy for lgbtq+ people to take part in our chosen sport, so we are bringing all our sports together to offer collaborative competitions and taster sessions in a safe, accessible and fun environment. This year we are pleased to be hosting, working and partnering with…Jackie Kay, Gemma Cairney, Tom Rasmussen, SQIFF, Louise Welsh, Zoe Strachan, Mystika Glamoor, Equality Network, LGBT Health and Wellbeing, Portobello Library, Tribe Porty, Portobello Bookshop, Portalibri, Velvet Easel, Edinburgh Arts Festival, The Portobello Tap, Crossborders Brewing, Closet Brewing, and many other local supportive community groups…To further mark Porty Pride’s fifth anniversary, we’re inviting our community to get involved in a collaborative Quilt-Making Project. We’re aiming to tell the stories of Porty Pride, and celebrate the diversity of people and organisations who are part of it.Our completed quilt will be on display during Porty Pride 2027.And, we are proud to be shortlisted for the Pride Award at the 2026 Proud Scotland Awards.About Porty Pride
Porty Pride is an intergenerational, intersectional, accessible community-run pride. We see community as a positive tool of activism and community-building as a powerful solution to social injustices.
