Friday 19th June Doors 7pm- The Bureau
An evening for the soul. Open your ears to the beautiful harmonies of Canter Semper and the North West tales from Douglas and Moss.Douglas & Moss
Rebecca Clare Douglas and Richard Moss are two musicians of high calibre performing with uncommon passion, grace and sensitivity. Clare is an accomplished violin player with a background in classical music combined with a love of traditional music. In 2020 she released The Fiddler from the Mountain of Fire, a collection of self-penned tunes inspired by the landscape, history and folklore of the Ingleborough area. Richard is an in demand accompanist and composer and delivers amazingly intricate guitar work with a richly accented, warm singing voice. He explores tradition from the Northwest of England and journeys through 19th century Blackburn poetry and local tune manuscripts. A distinctive thread weaves through the music of Douglas and Moss: it is a sound that is deeply rooted in their home in North West England - the atmospheric hills, industrial towns and evocative coastlines - alchemised with echoes of their musical experiences in Ireland, Scotland and further distant lands.Canter Semper
A Manchester based vocal trio creating rich, soul-filled soundscapes. Our harmonies are distinct and at the forefront of our brand. We also head up a female collective (Dea Collective) to work with a revolving circuit of artists and often perform with our very own all female backing choir (Choirs Manchester). Our music is drenched in warmth, bursting with sumptuously blended vocals; a vintage gospel/roots hybrid that aims to captivate and transport listeners.Part of Blackburn Gigs
This gig is part of Blackburn Gigs, a live music programme running at The Bureau from April to September 2026. Supported by Arts Council England and Blackburn with Darwen Council, Blackburn Gigs is rebuilding the towns grassroots music scene with diverse line-ups every weekend.Important Ticket Price Info
