Whether you're a seasoned dancer or have never set foot on a ceilidh floor before, this is a relaxed, friendly event where everyone is welcome! (no partner or experience required).Ceilidh is one of the oldest and most joyful forms of communal dancing in the British Isles.
With a live caller guiding you through every move and Mad Robin's driving fiddles, lilting reels and infectious rhythms powering the floor, you'll be dancing within minutes of arriving.
The dances are fun, often a little chaotic, and always accompanied by plenty of laughter.
It's a genuinely social occasion and you'll be on your feet, meeting new people, and moving to live music in a way that no other event quite manages.The event is suitable for all ages.
It's an afternoon session, making it ideal for families or anyone who prefers an early finish.
Doors open at 1.15pm with dancing from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, so bring a drink!Mad Robin are a Devon-based folk band with a warm, energetic sound and a real feel for the ceilidh floor.
They play a mix of traditional English and Irish tunes, with a caller who keeps things accessible and entertaining throughout.
