SALT PEANUTS.. tasty, crunchy, addictive! Modern standards and funky grooves by Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Nina Simone and Funk, Inc. with many others along the way.On alto/soprano saxophone and vocals, Carolyn Evans - LRQ (Cheltenham Jazz 2022), Juiced (produced by Massive Attack producer John Waterhouse), Big Blues Tribe (British Blues award nominees), and Boperator Boogie Band (Brum Jazz Fest)On bass, Iain Elliot LRQ (Cheltenham Jazz 2022), Nick Holmes, Worcester-based Rose Hannant, and a slew of London bands/session musiciansOn drums, Tom Fisher - Tom has been playing drums for far longer than he cares to admit, from jazz trios up to an 18 piece big band and accompanying many Midlands/international artistsThe bands 2025 gig at Kidderminster Jazz Club elicited the following review from Midlands jazz reviewer Ian Mann, the by-line of which says "The standard of the playing, particularly from the main soloists Evans and McDonald, was excellent throughout and the quartets obvious love for, and knowledge of, their chosen material shone through".The above three amigos form the nucleus of the band, working with a variety of the Midlands hottest soloists they are joined tonight by the cool keys of John MacDonald, whose ivories have graced many a stage UK-wide.

A picnmix of great musicians playing great sounds.
