Weber then puts the clarinet in the spotlight: SCO Principal Clarinet Maximiliano Martín brings virtuoso dash to the lively Concertino, before SCO Principal Bassoon Cerys Ambrose-Evans joins him for Stamitz’s elegant Double Concerto, full of conversational interplay and Classical poise.Weber’s Andante & Rondo ongarese gives the bassoon its own star turn, combining tender song with irresistible flair.
