Margrit Hasler - Live at the cornerHOUSE

After her stunning debut performance last year we are delighted to see the return of Margrit to the cornerHOUSE with her solo programme for viola with loop and pitch shift pedals.
She develops and transforms a wide range of material by some of her favourite composers such as Bill Frisell and Maurice Ravel, as well as exploring the bluegrass tradition.
Each piece starts with one line only, as all the loops are recorded live. The music unfolds by the layering of several parts, some of which are improvised.
Margrit is also adding the pitch shifter and various string techniques such as pizzicato and harmonics.
Each piece develops into a unique journey in a rich varied sound world.
